A name which gave a lot to the country good or bad, Sanjay Dutt whose biopic has recently blasted the cinemas with a huge round of applause and lots of love from the fans. Rajkumar Hirani made it possible to create a wonderful biopic of the controversial superstar which was actually suggested by the star’s wife Maanayata Dutt. The movie consisted of the whole ride of Sanjay Dutt’s life and what all he faced during his life journey.
People really appreciated the movie, but there were certain fans which criticized the on-screen show as they felt it was only to correct the image which had been in the eyes of the public. To this Sanjay Dutt told a daily posing a question as to who would invest Rs 50 crore for a whitewash job. He further explained that he told everything to the filmmakers and they decided to use what they wanted. He also said that the idea of a biopic came from his wife Maanayata and that she had spoken to the director when he was in jail.
After there was a gun found in his home after the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, he was convicted under the anti-terror law TADA for his alleged involvement in the terrorist attack. He narrated how his life took an uncertain turn by just a gun and had to pay for it to keep it at his home. However, the charges against Sanjay Dutt’s involvement with the blasts were dropped later but the actor was then convicted under the Arms Act for which he served a long-term in the Yerwada jail.
People also questioned that all the women he had been involved with in the past were not there in the movie. To this, he cleared that he had shared every detail with the filmmakers and did not guide them for what to keep and what not to keep. Apparently, all of what was show cast in the movie was purely a choice of the filmmaker and not him though; some of the things which had to be there in the movie were left out because of the time duration.
He also narrated that his mother has a very powerful impact on his life and despite his father being very stern with him; he still continued to stay by his side in tough terms. He concluded by revealing that he wanted to fly down and settle abroad, but it was Sunil Dutt, who asked him to come back.
